How is your business different from before and after the retreat?

I had the privilege to attend the MMC Retreat 5.0 It was definitely one the best experience l have ever had! 

From the location, atmosphere, Megan and her team's hospitality, the opportunity to meet other like mind individuals and workshops tailored to what l was experimenting at the moment without realizing. 

This retreat really allowed me to truly accept the burnout I was facing but did not want to admit to myself. It was also a reaffirmation retreat to myself of my agency and goals moving forward into the year. This retreat overall was able to bring me the clarity I needed at the moment!

What was your greatest take away from the retreat?

Gosh! There was a few but I would say one was an overview of realistic expectations for an agency employee, nanny market changes and issues other agencies were facing, being able to share experiences and being able to talk about different approaches.

Megan is truly the best and anything she is part of or anything she organizes is a great investment and worth every cent!

Candice Cartner

Candice is actually my own business coach!

She's an executive coach and licensed therapist who helps “stuck” business leaders build clear visions and create mindset shifts to move past barriers in their lives, work, and relationships. 

She applies her expertise in executive leadership and organizational psychology to diagnose problem areas, while supporting them in developing skills, strategies and evaluative tools to achieve measurable evolution in their outcomes.

For 13 years she's helped hundreds of clients achieve their personal and professional goals through her uniquely developed process of mindset mastery, while aligning their values and vision to reach beyond the potential they knew they had. 

Her specialty is working with people who struggle with motivation, confidence, worry, boundaries, burnout, imposter syndrome, leading others, and other things that may get in the way of reaching entrepreneurial (and ultimately life!) goals. She has a strong belief in authenticity and sees “business culture” rules and norms for what they really are- suggestions that work for some people.

Candice holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. Prior to opening her coaching and therapy practices, she worked as a therapist in the university setting as well as serving in executive leadership at two large non-profit agencies. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and two young children.

Jennifer Hassett, M.Ed., is a legacy MMC Client with over 15 years of experience as a nanny, teacher, a nanny placement coordinator, and most recently became a mother. 

We are thrilled to have her speak about hiring, managing and maintaining REMOTE TEAMS, including working with Virtual Assistants.

"My passion has always been about people and creating meaningful relationships. I am the aunt that loves to facetime with my nephews. The friend who is in every wedding and who has all the bridesmaids dresses to prove it! The former nanny, who was at every dance recital, every ball game, and every gymnastics meet because those important moments in ‘my kids’ lives were always a priority. I credit my early years babysitting and high school experience in a child-oriented occupational program as the foundation for my child-centered life-long journey. I expanded the foundation as a nanny and teacher, before transitioning into nanny placement services and eventually building my own successful business."

As the owner of A Perfect Fit Nanny Agency, Jennifer and her team of 8 full time office staff serve nannies and families in the Phoenix, Denver, Dallas Fort-Worth, and Southern Florida areas. 

A Perfect Fit has been helping families find the perfect caregivers, as well as help to create lasting connections between families and nannies for over 13 years.

FAQ's

You've got questions, we've got answers
I have a few food allergies and restrictions, so I'm worried I may not be able to eat some of the catered meals. How do I let you know?
No problem! After you register for the retreat, you will receive a confirmation email. In this email, there is a quick food survey to let us know about any allergies or restrictions you may have. You can also request your meal ahead of time for the dinner cruise.
I'm not sure if I can make it. If I register, can I get a refund later?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds. This is because there are a lot of details and logistics to plan and book in advance. Last minute guest changes are very difficult to accommodate, considering the number of rooms, beds, catered meals, dietary restrictions and all the activities.
How many spaces are available?
There are technically 7 rooms with 10 beds in total at the guest house for everyone. In previous years, we have offered bed-sharing - strategically and masterfully organized by Megan herself. She is known for her expert match making - think beyond the perfect nanny & family matches. Apparently, the ones she matched are life-long friends, continuing to support each other years after the retreat and have even gone to each other's weddings!

Is there a dress code?
The proper attire helps ensure you are alert and ready to learn. Please refrain from wearing pajamas, bathing suits or inappropriate clothing to the sessions.
What else should I know about the retreat policies?
We've prepared an information sheet with all the retreat policies ahead of time. We want to make sure you and everyone else has the best possible experience at the retreat!
