With 25 years of business ownership experience, I help founders create stronger organizations through practical strategy, confident leadership, and operational clarity.
I knew at eight years old that I wanted to become an executive trainer.
My mom worked for the Center for Creative Leadership for more than 30 years. As a single mom, she often brought me to work with her, and every now and then, I was allowed to observe leadership programs through a two-way mirror.
I was fascinated. Helping people become stronger leaders became the dream.
In college, I even created my own concentration in Training and Development, which was approved by the dean of the business school. Though I had also started Preferred ChildCare during my freshman year, and as the company grew, my original dream needed to take a back seat.
For the next 15 years, I poured everything into building Preferred ChildCare. I grew it to a 7 figure business and hired and trained my team to run the daily operations.
It Started With One Dream
Then, in 2016, that childhood dream came full circle when I began consulting with nanny agency owners through Megan Metzger Consulting. The dream was not simply alive again. It had become something even more meaningful than I had imagined.
I went on to earn my master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Development because I wanted to become the strongest coach, strategist, and resource possible for the business owners who trusted me to guide them.
Today, MMC partners with owners who want greater clarity, stronger leadership, healthier teams, and businesses that can grow without consuming their lives.
What began as a childhood fascination with leadership became a career dedicated to helping people build stronger businesses, lead with greater confidence, and make better decisions.
The industries and organizations I serve may continue to evolve, but the heart of my work has always remained the same: helping people lead well.
Meet Megan

I know what it feels like to hire the wrong person, question whether it is time to grow, worry about making payroll, change direction when something is not working, and carry the responsibility that comes with leadership.
That experience shapes how I work with clients today.
My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in real-world experience.
My role is not to tell you how to run your business.
It is to help you see what you may be too close to recognize, ask better questions, challenge your thinking, and turn good decisions into action.

Liz Faulkner

Liz Faulkner is a virtual assistant from Vancouver, Canada who is currently living in Thailand. She is the woman behind our online courses, marketing pieces, retreats, and numerous other creative projects that we come up with. She brings our ideas, tools, and resources to life. Earlier in life, Liz was an English as a Second Language instructor for almost 20 years. Her passion for teaching is visible in her guides, pdfs, course layouts, and newsletters. When she’s not on her laptop, she’s baking, swimming, traveling, or hanging out with her husband and dog.
Candice Cartner

Candice Cartner is the one who continues to push us to be better than we were yesterday. She will even pull us along when we don’t want to make the climb alone. Candice has a resume so long we won’t attempt to include it all here. The highlights include being a licensed therapist, executive coach, and having the ability to make an entire room of strong entrepreneurs cry! She’s got a background in people, performance, motivation, organizational development, leadership, and all things growth. She offers a balance of challenge and support that keeps us at our best and always moving forward. Candice helps bring our wild ideas to life and gives us the direction we need. She is a frequent contributor to our work and can be found at multiple client retreats. When she isn’t kicking my butt, she can be found outside, preferably in the mountains or somewhere coastal where she is voted most likely to not answer her phone or email.
Gerry Ponce

Gerry Ponce is the person who takes the big ideas and makes sure they actually land. With 10 years of experience supporting CEOs, founders, and executive chairmen across technology, engineering, and consulting, he has built a reputation for bringing calm, structure, and follow-through to fast-moving environments. He has worked alongside leadership at an AI and cybersecurity think tank, a Silicon Valley tech firm, and a growing engineering company, managing everything from complex calendars to high-stakes communications. Gerry is fluent in English and Spanish, with conversational French and German. A Midwest kid at heart, he later studied in Monterrey, Mexico and has called both cities home ever since. When he is not building runways, he can be found tending to his extensive plant collection, hiking a mountain, or keeping a close eye on the financial markets.

Olivia first began working with Megan as a vacation nanny, helping keep things running smoothly while Megan traveled with four children. Over time, their working relationship grew into a friendship, and today Olivia has become Megan’s trusted right hand.
From running errands and helping with special projects to picking up kids from school and jumping in wherever she is needed, Olivia is an invaluable part of both Megan’s work and daily life. Her hilarious personality, positive spirit, and willingness to tackle just about anything make every day in the office a little easier, and a lot more fun.

KM Torres brings both creativity and strategy to his work, with a strong ability to connect marketing and messaging in a way that feels clear, aligned, and impactful. Behind the scenes, he supports MMC’s visibility by ensuring our content is thoughtful, engaging, and consistent across platforms.
KM holds a degree in Communications from the Philippines and works as a Digital Marketing and Content Coordinator, supporting a variety of clients while continuously refining his skills and bringing ideas to life.
Regina Nasecia

Regina first began working with Megan on a client project, and her talent, creativity, and attention to detail quickly stood out. What started as a single assignment soon grew into Regina supporting both Preferred ChildCare and Megan Metzger Consulting, as well as working with MMC clients.
Today, Regina has built a business dedicated to supporting members of the MMC client and community network, helping business owners bring their ideas to life through thoughtful, creative support.
Regina is based in Indonesia but despite being a world away she is a valued team member. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and the occasional window-shopping adventure.

Karima works behind the scenes here at MMC and is the one who helps us create a strong brand identity that directly influences our client experience.
Karima was born and raised in West Virginia, then moved to Louisville, KY after college and now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is expecting her first child, orders Indian food weekly, and has three big dogs she loves (despite being constantly covered in fur).
Karima is passionate about people, taking human-first approaches to business, and having a job that supports your life (not the other way around.)
