OUR STORY

Megan Metzger Consulting

FOUNDED WITH THE MISSION TO HELP AS MANY WOMEN AS POSSIBLE BECOME FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT.

As women, we have many roles and often feel overwhelmed by the pressure to “do it all.”

Traditionally, we have been pulled to choose between having a successful career or taking care of a family. Business ownership allows us to succeed professionally while having the flexibility to show up more fully in the other aspects of our lives.

Today, MMC is for every growth-oriented, kind human, regardless of gender, race, religion or orientation. We want all human beings to have a successful business to fulfill their goal, whether that goal is to give back to their communities, start a second business, travel the world, help their families grow, or all of those! We recognize the richness of inclusivity under the HELM of strong, value-driven female leadership. We want to continue to encourage others to not limit the resources that can drive their business forward. When we say everyone has a seat at our table, we mean that in every way.

We invite you to join the MMC Community

Learn the strategies, tips, and tricks that have helped over 400 nanny agencies across the globe not only grow, but also thrive.

OUR CORE VALUES

01. COMMUNITY

We believe that business ownership should be celebrated and shared. We take pride in the community we ‘ve built and are always open to new business owners who are growth-oriented and willing to share. We are committed and fiercely loyal to our community.

02. growTH

Life is a collection of experiences and decisions. We believe that growth should happen every day so we make better decisions, positively impact the world around us, and feel good about ourselves.

03. GRATITUDE

We are truly grateful for the opportunities given to us. We show appreciation to the team members who help us succeed. We are thankful for the opportunity to do our work and change lives for clients, candidates, and ourselves.

03. GENEROSITY

Giving others our time, resources, and wisdom is in the fabric of our being. Our souls are fed by helping others with no expectations. Instead, we remember and repay the generosity of others that was once given to us.

04. INDEPENDENCE

We believe that all people have the strength within themselves to reach their vision of a meaningful life. With a support system and encouragement, we trust success is inevitable for those who want it and are willing to do the work.

06. AUTHENTIC

We will be honest and truthful with ourselves and one another. We will accept accountability for our actions and words. We stand by our words and actions to assure we can be trusted and relied on in every moment of our lives.

Code of Ethics

  • We will be honest and truthful with ourselves and one another. We will accept accountability for our actions and words. We will do what is right even when others may not. We stand by our words and actions to assure we can be trusted and relied on in every moment of our lives.

  • We will act, speak, and behave in a professional manner at all times.

  • The information, ideas, and stories that are shared with us will be kept strictly confidential.

  • We believe that growth should happen every day so we make better decisions, positively impact the world around us, and feel good about ourselves.

  • We will not share any ideas created with a client with any other member of a client's team.

  • When working with two agencies in the same market, we will ensure to only give tailored advice to that specific client. We want both agencies to excel, and helping them focus on what they do best will set them apart.

Meet The Team

BEHIND EVERY GREAT HUMAN IS ANOTHER GREAT HUMAN CHEERING THEM ON.

We are transparent in sharing our resources and giving credit where credit is due. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to run and support a business. Let me introduce you to mine. Our team is comprised of incredible people working in their zone of genius. With over 20 years of experience in the in-home childcare industry, MMC combines talent, strategy, and community to ensure that the journey into entrepreneurship is a successful one.

Megan Metzger

  • Megan Metzger founded MMC in 2014 when she saw the need for more women to become financially independent. She combined her personal experience (the good, bad, and ugly) of owning a nanny agency (Preferred ChildCare) with the professional education in business and passion for teaching to help over 400 owners start, grow, and improve their nanny agencies.

Consulting doesn’t feel like work to Megan. She wakes up every day excited to help her clients and celebrate with them as they achieve their goals. She is truly thankful for the opportunity to work with such incredible business owners and is blessed to have an awesome team to support her work. When she is not working, Megan is a self-proclaimed foodie who travels often and can be found at art museums, the theater, on the back of a horse, or spending time with her four children.

Candice Cartner

  • + Megan’s (Not So Secret) Secret Weapon

Candice Cartner is the one who continues to push us to be better than we were yesterday. She will even pull us along when we don’t want to make the climb alone. Candice has a resume so long we won’t attempt to include it all here. The highlights include being a licensed therapist, executive coach, and having the ability to make an entire room of strong entrepreneurs cry! She’s got a background in people, performance, motivation, organizational development, leadership, and all things growth. She offers a balance of challenge and support that keeps us at our best and always moving forward. Candice helps bring our wild ideas to life and gives us the direction we need. She is a frequent contributor to our work and can be found at multiple client retreats. When she isn’t kicking my butt, she can be found outside, preferably in the mountains or somewhere coastal where she is voted most likely to not answer her phone or email.

Liz Faulkner

  • Liz Faulkner is a virtual assistant from Vancouver, Canada who is currently living in Thailand. She is the woman behind our online courses, marketing pieces, retreats, and numerous other creative projects that we come up with. She brings our ideas, tools, and resources to life. Earlier in life, Liz was an English as a Second Language instructor for almost 20 years. Her passion for teaching is visible in her guides, pdfs, course layouts, and newsletters. When she’s not on her laptop, she’s baking, swimming, traveling, or hanging out with her husband and dog.

Maraesha SCALES

  • Maraesha Wilson is a certified NCS and was a full-time nanny for the family of our founder, Megan, for many years. When she was ready for a new challenge, Megan offered Maraesha a position at Preferred ChildCare and MMC, and now she doesn’t know who loves her more–Megan’s children or Megan. Maraesha can be found behind the scenes at the office helping with projects and giving her valuable opinion on our ideas. She is also in her element working in the kitchen at every retreat. She is a true hostess and makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. In her free time, Maraesha enjoys spending time with her new husband in nature, dancing, painting, and volunteering.

Diana jordan

  • Diana is scrappy advertising guru from the Great White North, you'll find Diana's words behind multiple seven-figure global campaigns. An award-winning writer with over a decade of experience, Diana's agency, Word Candy, serves clients worldwide. When she's not cleverly stringing punchy words together, you'll find Diana elbows deep in her garden at the farmhouse she shares with her husband Jonathan in breathtaking Ontario.

Karima Neghmouche

  • Karima Neghmouche is one of the most brilliant designers we have ever met. She can take a vision or idea and bring it to life in a fully-immersive brand experience.

Karima works behind the scenes here at MMC and is the one who helps us create a strong brand identity that directly influences our client experience.

Karima was born and raised in West Virginia, then moved to Louisville, KY after college and now lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is expecting her first child, orders Indian food weekly, and has three big dogs she loves (despite being constantly covered in fur).

Karima is passionate about people, taking human-first approaches to business, and having a job that supports your life (not the other way around.)

Jadyn Koranteng

  • Jadyn Koranteng first joined our team after being one of Megan’s best students at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She originally applied for an internship, but with her skills, experience, and working genius, Megan insisted on giving her a larger role. Since then, we have been blown away by her talents. Jadyn slays projects like we have never seen. She can take an idea with minimal direction and bring it to life in a matter of days. She is the team member we all dream of: kind, professional, talented, and willing to take initiative. Along with her work at MMC, Jadyn is a project manager at Preferred ChildCare focused on finding unique HR solutions. In her downtime, she enjoys doing various crafts such as sewing and crocheting.

simone wilson

  • Simone works behind the scenes to help the MMC team work as efficiently as possible. She acts as the glue that holds us together, keeping our team strong and cohesive.

Anne Doyle

  • Anne Doyle has a gift for editing and a way with words that feels like a true art form. She is the one behind the scenes who helps the stories we share come to life. She also ensures that our written words flow smoothly and accurately convey the goals and tone of MMC. Anne received her bachelor's degree in Professional and Technical Writing, and recently graduated with her master’s. When she is not creating masterpieces on her keyboard, Anne enjoys reading and hiking.

kate Jozefecick

  • Kate Jozefecick is a dynamic digital marketer based out of Jacksonville, FL. She has over eight years of industry experience specializing in email marketing, website design, project management, and social media strategies. A University of New Hampshire graduate, Kate's adaptability, creativity, and attention to detail shine in every project.
