How to Sell Corporate Childcare as a Service.

Appealing to the needs of both businesses and families.

In our previous article, we introduced you to the evolution of employee benefits and discussed how the childcare crisis impacts *everyone* and why organizations are now eager to offer corporate childcare to their staff.

For part two, we’re diving into how your agency can start selling corporate childcare. First, you’re going to sell to your existing clients, and then to organizations.

Today we’re doing something we’ve never done before… MMC will give you a copywriter-produced announcement script that you can copy and paste, customize, and send to help you get started!

But first…

Research & Prepare

Understand the demographics and preferences of the corporate clients your nannies would serve. For example, hospital staff have different needs than if your agency’s target market is in the financial district.

Collect your data. This can include statistics on employee satisfaction, retention rates, and productivity improvements. Don’t forget to consider any existing childcare solutions they might already have in place (like on-site daycare).

It’s a good idea to have your research and case studies ready when pitching to companies. This information can help you to better illustrate the return on investment (ROI) of corporate childcare and seal the deal.

Most importantly, ensure that your childcare services meet all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Obtain professional liability insurance and workers compensation if you are employing for the first time to comply with this change. You’ll enhance your credibility and reassure corporations and families that they’ve come to the right place for quality childcare.

Create & Launch

Develop childcare solutions tailored to meet the needs you uncovered during your preparatory phase. Offer customizable packages that cater to different company sizes and budgets. This might include tiered pricing based on the number of employees or the level of childcare services required.

Then, design marketing materials that clearly communicate the benefits of offering corporate childcare to potential organizations. Highlight the advantages of increased employee productivity, reduced absenteeism, improved employee retention, enhanced company culture, and a competitive edge in attracting top talent.

Leverage your existing client list to build new relationships with HR professionals, benefits administrators, and decision-makers within target companies. Attend networking events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase your services and make connections.

In your pitch, highlight that you’ll offer informational sessions and on-site workshops to educate employees about the childcare services available to them. During these informational sessions, you’ll also engage directly with employees to better understand what they want for improved satisfaction in the future.

Here’s the script we promised you for reaching out to your current clientele to help you get your foot in the door.

Dear [Contact's Name],

[Your Nanny Agency Name] is honored to be the choice of busy parents like you. That’s why we want you to be the first to know that we’re expanding into exciting new territory!

Did you know that more and more employers include childcare cost reimbursement as part of their benefits packages? (Can we get a high five and an “about time?!”)

That’s why [Your Nanny Agency Name] will partner directly with companies to help them offer cost-effective, quality childcare solutions to their employees. It’s the modern way for them to support their staff and help them manage work-life balance.

Our goal is to streamline the process so that busy parents don’t have to deal with cumbersome red tape trying to claim their employer-provided perk. We want you and your co-workers to have a seamless experience—just book a reliable babysitter when you need one and we’ll handle the payment details!

Through our new program, we’ll manage all the billing directly with your employer, and even keep track of what you’re entitled to so that you can maximize your childcare benefit!

Now, we’re going to ask you for a HUGE favor. Could you please connect us with someone at your organization who’s involved with HR benefit coordination?

Even via a brief email that slides us on the CC-line would be incredibly helpful, and we’ll take it from there. Plus, it would be our pleasure to show you our appreciation with a thanks-for-the-referral gift card.

Thank you for considering making this introduction! We promise there will be no hard feelings if you’d rather not, but please kindly let us know either way.

With gratitude,

 (Your name and sign off.)
